At the Makerspace, you can take your sewing projects to the next level with embroidery! You can download embroidery files, or create your own for use on our machines, or turn down the tech and use our 3D printed embroidery hoops to stitch by hand on plain or Aida fabric!

What file types can be used for embroidery?
PES, PHC, PHX or DST
How can you get/create a file for embroidery that can be used on our machine?
- You can create simple text and images directly on the machine itself
- You can find a free PES file online, download it, and save it to a USB stick. You can then plug that USB stick into the embroidery machine, select the pocket icon, then select the USB icon.
- Create custom designs in Inkscape with the Ink/stitch extension. This allows you to create a vector image that you can save as a PES file.
