These same materials can be checked out at the circulation desk, and a limited amount can be used at the desk without checkout. These include: tweezer-nose pliers, file sets, deburring tools, sandpaper, glue, etc. Please see this video for advice on how to remove supports: 3D Supports Removal Tips. Filament Color(Required) I understand that the colors represented on the website are not exact and may vary based on screen display, supplier availability, and natural differences in one roll to the nextIf you are trying to make an exact match from a previous print, please know that we cannot guarantee an exact match. Filament colors vary slightly by supplier, over time, and based on exact availability. We will do our best to have consistent supply, but cannot guarantee it. Agreement(Required) I have read and agree to the Terms of Use.3D printing is available to University of Florida students, faculty, staff, and community members to make three-dimensional objects in PLA plastic from an uploaded STL file. Users may not 3D print anything that is: Prohibited by local, state, or federal law. Prohibited by UF IT’s Acceptable Use Policy. In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. We cannot reproduce material subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection. Unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or posing a threat to the well-being of others. We reserve the right to: Decline any 3D print order. Use discretion to organize the print queue for overall efficiency. Prioritize 3D printing for course assignments and research. Place the 3D printers in a public area of the library, where patrons may view the objects being printed. Quality: Support material is often required for 3D models that have significant overhangs or parts suspended in mid-air. Users are responsible for the removal of support material; any damage that occurs during this process is not the responsibility of 3D staff members. Access: Only authorized library employees have hands-on access to the 3D printers. Pickup: Completed 3D orders are held at the main floor service desk of Marston Science Library. Orders may be picked up whenever the building is open. 3D orders that are not picked up within 14 calendar days of pickup notification become the property of the UF Libraries. CAPTCHA
