Sticker Design Contest!

The Makerspace is launching a student design competition to create original makerspace-themed stickers! These stickers will be used as promotional and engagement materials for tabling events, outreach, and in-space giveaways.

Competition Details:

  • Designs must be no larger than 3″ x 3″ of any shape
  • Designs must be originals and not AI generated, or use any copyright or trademark images/designs
  • Designs must align with UF Guidelines
  • Design files must be at least 300dpi at the size it will be printed, and should be in CMYK color format.

The process:

  1. Design your sticker and download it as a PNG, PDF, JPG, PSD, or AI file (PDF is preferred).
  2. Submit your design here by 11:59pm on Monday February 9th.
  3. UF Libraries will review all submissions and select the top 3 by Friday February 10th.
  4. The top 3 designs will be available for voting by the UF community from February 10 – 13.
  5. Winner will be announced on Monday February 13.
  6. Winning selection will be sent off to the printers to have our first batch of official Makerspace Stickers ready by March 25

Prizes:

  • All three finalists will receive 10 buttons made with their design on them
  • The final winner will receive an official first place certificate from the UF Libraries, a tumbler sublimation blank, 10 of their stickers, and 20 blank buttons to customize as they wish
  • Additionally, the winner will be featured at our upcoming pop-up event on March 25, and on the UF Libraries’ official instagram account!

UF Guidelines:

  • Use general accessibility guidelines, especially high color contrast
  • Do not use any UF logos
  • You can look at UFs brand center for inspo
  • Do not create designs that may be inappropriate, offensive, or political in nature
