How It Works

Ready to 3D print? Here’s our process:

  1. Submit your STL files via our online order form.
  2. We review your order, prepare your files, and calculate the amount of filament.
  3. We generate your quote at $0.15 per gram of filament, with a $3.00 minimum.
  4. We email you the quote with a link to pay by debit/credit card.
  5. When you pay, we receive a payment notification and start your order on the next available printer.
  6. We send you an email when your order is ready for pickup.
  7. Collect your completed order from the main floor service desk of Marston Science Library whenever the building is open.
  8. For removal of support material or other post-processing of your 3D prints, we offer a variety of tools and supplies in Marston Makerspace: tweezer-nose pliers, file sets, deburring tools, sandpaper, glue, etc.
