Our friend the Gyro Cutter functions a lot like an Exacto / Craft knife, but with one notable difference: the blade can rotate in place! This opens up some new dimensions of possibility in terms of what this handy tool can be used for!
The Gyro Cutter can cut basically anything that a normal craft blade can: paper, cardboard, fabric, so many materials! Another key thing that sets this cutter apart from a knife is its more ergonomic form factor. You hold it just like a pen!
Going along with the pen-like form factor, you cut essentially by drawing along the material, and the blade swivels around to cut in whatever shapes you want!
Basically, you can freehand cut anything you want to! This has a lot of practical applications, from making fun papercraft creatures as I have here, to freehand cutting sticker designs, to so much more! You can think of the Gyro Blade as being a lot like a craft knife, but with significant added flexibility from the swiveling head.
