Super Sealant Saturday at the University of Florida College of Dentistry brought together students, faculty, and community partners to provide free dental care to more than 400 children from Gainesville and surrounding communities.
Behind the scenes, the UF Marston Makerspace played an important role in bringing the event’s vision to life. Using the Makerspace’s sublimation equipment, Silhouette craft cutter, and heat presses, a dedicated team of Super Sealant Saturday members designed and produced the event’s custom T-shirts in-house.
Having access to this space not only gave our team a place to collaborate and bring our creative ideas to life, but also significantly reduced production costs, allowing more of our resources to support the philanthropic mission of the event. The shirts became a reflection of the creativity, teamwork, and spirit of service that defined Super Sealant Saturday. Thanks to the Makerspace and the resources it provides, our team was able to proudly wear and share our own work while coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of children.
